Our Curriculum & Faculty-Led Tours are built in direct partnership with schools, aligning with specific subject-based outcomes to create immersive, experiential journeys that bring the curriculum to life.
These are carefully structured expeditions grounded in academic intent and real-world learning. We work alongside teachers and faculty to identify key curriculum outcomes, then co-design a program where students can apply classroom theory through field-based experience, global engagement, and adventure.
These high school expeditions are intentionally designed to deepen understanding in key subjects like:
- Geography
- History
- Languages & Culture
- Social Studies
- Physical Education & Outdoor Pursuits
Where Academic Learning Meets the Real World
Designed to bring classroom learning into the real world.
Unearthed Education works with faculty and educators to create global learning experiences that connect academic subjects with real places, cultures, and environments. Each destination offers opportunities for students to deepen their understanding of course material while exploring the world beyond the classroom.
From historic cities and cultural centers to remote landscapes and field sites, our programs allow students to engage directly with the subjects they study. Faculty-led expeditions can be designed around a wide range of disciplines—from environmental studies and history to anthropology, leadership, and global studies.
Every program is developed in partnership with educators and follows Unearthed Education’s expedition framework, blending academic exploration, cultural immersion, and hands-on experiences that reinforce course themes and learning outcomes.
Our Process
Creating a faculty-led expedition begins with your academic vision. Unearthed Education partners with educators to design programs that bring course material to life through immersive global experiences. From early planning through the expedition itself, our team supports every stage of the journey so faculty can focus on teaching and student engagement.

1. Program Design & Academic Focus
We begin by working closely with faculty to understand the goals of the course or program. Together we design an expedition that aligns with academic themes, learning objectives, and the interests of your students. Destinations, site visits, and cultural experiences are selected to deepen understanding of the subject matter while providing meaningful real-world context.

3. Experiential Learning in the Field
During the expedition, students engage directly with the places, cultures, and environments connected to their coursework. Through site visits, guided experiences, and faculty-led discussion, students explore academic topics in ways that are difficult to replicate in a traditional classroom.
